Marco Faini

Marco Faini è Assistant Professor of Italian alla University at Buffalo (SUNY). In precedenza è stato Visiting Professor presso il Research Center of the University of Bucharest (ICUB, 2021-2022); Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellow all’Università Ca’ Foscari di Venezia e all’Università di Toronto (2018-2021); Andrew W. Mellon at Villa I Tatti. The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies (2017-2017) e Research Associate presso il Department of Italian, University of Cambridge (2013-2016)¸ Ha ricoperto incarichi di assegnista di ricerca presso le Università di Urbino ‘Carlo Bo’ e di Bergamo, e ha insegnato come Visiting Professor alla Westfälische-Wilhelms Universität, Münster, come professore a contratto presso l’Università di Urbino ‘Carlo Bo’ e come adjunct professor alla Eastman School of Music, Rochester.

Tra le sue pubblicazioni recenti la monografia Standing at the Crossroads. Stories of Doubt in Renaissance Italy (Legenda/MHRA 2023). Le sue curatele recenti includono: Errors, False Opinions, and Defective Knowledge in Early Modern Europe (con Marco Sgarbi, Firenze University Press, 2024);  A Companion to Pietro Aretino (con Paola Ugolini, Brill, 2021); Le doute dans l’Europe moderne (con Élise Boillet, Brepols, 2021); Domestic Devotions in Early Modern Italy (Leiden-Boston, Brill, 2018, con Maya Corry e Alessia Meneghin); Domestic Devotions in the Early Modern World (Leiden-Boston, Brill, con Alessia Meneghin).  Marco Faini is Assistant Professor of Italian at the University at Buffalo (SUNY). Formerly he was Visiting Professor at the Research Center of the University of Bucharest (ICUB, 2021-2022); Marie Skłodowska Curie Fellow at the Universities of Venice and Toronto (2018-2021); Andrew W. Mellon at Villa I Tatti. The Harvard University Center for Italian Renaissance Studies (2016-2017); and Research Associate at the Department of Italian, University of Cambridge 92013-2016). He has been a post-doc researcher at the Universities of Urbino ‘Carlo Bo’ and Bergamo, a Visiting Professor at the Westfälische-Wilhelms Universität, Münster, and an adjunct professor at the University of Urbino ‘Carlo Bo’ and at the Eastman School of Music, Rochester.

His latest monograph is titled Standing at the Crossroads.
